Congressman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) released the following statement on the passing of Dr. Ronald E. Carrier, the fourth president of James Madison University:

“Dr. Ron Carrier played a significant role in making James Madison University the institution that it is today. His legacy and vision lives on throughout campus and beyond. I’m honored to have known Dr. Carrier and worked with him closely over the years. My prayers are with his family and the entire JMU community as they mourn his passing.”
